I come from a small town of 400 people. It was quite a boring childhood until I moved cities and entered high school. This is when I fell in love with track and field. I did T & F all four years of high school. I primarily did long jump and javelin but in senior year, I tried the 100-meter race and immediately went to districts. Other than track and field, I have a great love for snowboarding and powerlifting. My best powerlifting total is 1,090 lbs with a 155 lbs body weight.
One snowy day in January of 2022, I was snowboarding Snoqualmie Pass and realized how difficult of a sport it was. This was following many crashes, whiffed jumps, and failed tricks. This is when I came to the realization that I was unnecessarily getting my butt kicked every time I was on the mountain. I could do something about the lack of strength and endurance, so I did. I started going to the gym and realized how much of a difference it made in my mental health and physical well-being. Since then I have stopped snowboarding but continue to try new sports and strength training.
My passion and motivation for being in health and fitness is rooted in the happiness and quality of life increases I see from everyone I work with. I love working with athletes and future athletes, but I really feel inspired by working with people who simply want to move and feel better day to day.
